Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid: Match Review

Real Madrid was on cruise control to win this Madrid Derby but Antoine Griezmann didn't give up.
The late 85th minute goal from Atletico Madrid's top player Griezmann left Real Madrid frustrated and made the La Liga title race more open.
The first half was very exciting and the two sides both were energetic. It was a game between two high quality teams. Both team was trying to make a early goal strongly.
Total 18 shots came from the two teams, 12 from Real Madrid and 6 from Atletico. Though Atletico was trying to make openings for themselves. Though Real Madrid was playing comfortably, a misplaced pass was really a great chance to score for Atletico. But Keylor Navas made a brilliant save. At the 51 minute Real got a free kick which was served beautifully by Toni Kroos and Pepe did the rest from his spectacular header. Zidane was happy with this performance.
The negative note for Real Madrid was the injury of Pepe when he accidentally crashed with Toni Kroos. The trainers paid attention to Pepe's ribs, so that he can play the rest match. But after sometimes he was down and Nacho was replaced with him. Atletico found that Griezmann had a big advantage over Nacho. They were looking to make use of that edge and in the 85th minute Griezmann scored the goal. And the match ended with 1-1 score.
The result doesn't help Atletico Madrid to chase the La Liga title but it gives Barca a chance to win the title. Ultimately this draw hurts, but Real Madrid is still on the top of the table with 72 points.
